  40. This is version 4.0 of EGSPhotoAlbum Professional, the comfortable Shareware
  41. picture management and presentation software for EGS. To use EGSPhotoAlbum
  42. as full version you need a keyfile, which can be obtained by registering
  43. directly by me (see below for registration fees). Without keyfile
  44. EGSPhotoAlbum has some restrictions.

  46. What does EGSPhotoAlbum Professional offer?
  47. -------------------------------------------

  49. EGSPhotoAlbum is a pure EGS program. It offers easy access to large
  50. collections of picture and animation files e.g. on your harddrive or on
  51. CD-ROMs with a comfort similair to that of PhotoCDs.
  52.  
  53. The current version supports the following picture/animation file formats:

  55. 1) IFF-ILBM (all standard formats 1 to 8Bit, EHB, HAM6, HAM8, 24Bit)
  56. 2) JPeg (color and greyscale)
  57. 3) PPM/PGM/PBM (P1&P4 b&w, P5 grey, P6 color)
  58. 4) QRT (also known as dump format by PD raytracers as POV-Ray)
  59. 5) Targa (RLE compr.&uncompr. 24Bit, 1Bit, 8Bit grey/Colormap; incl. interleaved)
  60. 6) PCX (compr.&uncompr. EGA1-4Bit, VGA 8Bit grey/Colormap and 24Bit)
  61. 7) BMP (uncompr. formats for 24Bit RGB and 1Bit, 4Bit or 8Bit Colormap)
  62. 8) TIF (packbit-compr./uncompr. Motorola formats 24Bit RGB, 1-8Bit grey/Colormap)

  81. Special note for ImageFX fans: All fast loading functions (except JPeg) are
  82. also available from me in a fast universal loader module for ImageFX for
  83. a small additional charge (demo can be found in the archive fastifxmodules.lha);
  84. you can also order the modules (now including a fast saver module as well)
  85. separately, as they are usable without EGS as well.

  87. EGSPhotoAlbum shows whole directories or even directory trees of
  88. pictures and animations with downscaled preview images automatically.
  89. Special fast loading functions for downscaled loading are used (for animations
  90. the first frame in the file is shown).

  120.   This makes EGSPhotoAlbum a comfortable 24Bit picture converter or
  121.   easy picture selection front end for other programs...

  127. All this is done with a font sensitive EGS user interface which can be
  128. used even on largest Screens and in full 24Bit color quality.

  130. Many extensions (as slideshow with transition effects, ...) could be
  131. integrated in the future, if there is enough response and the number
  132. of registered users will be high enough. The keyfile concept offers
  133. registered users the possibilty to use future demo versions auto-
  134. matically as update for their full version.

  140. * Amiga-OS 2.04 or higher
  141.  
  142.   Amiga-OS 3.0 or higher is needed, if DataTypes should be used for
  143.   loading of pictures and animations
  144.  
  145. * EGS-System version 6.0 or higher for your graphics board or for
  146.   Amigas without graphics board (also usable as demo version)
  147.  
  148. * Much memory (at least 4MByte RAM; more is really recommended to
  149.   use EGSPhotoAlbum comfortably; the caching algorithms can use lots
  150.   of memory); low memory can lead to problems with the EGS system.
  151.   Virtual memory is also usable (e.g. VMM or GigaMem).

  154. Registration

  157. The registration fee for EGSPhotoAlbum Professional is currently 27US$
  158. (as cheque or postal money order) or 25US$ (as bank notes) for users
  159. outside of europe (see registration form for other possible currencies).
  160. Inside europe the registration fee is 30DM (see registration form for
  161. other possible currencies).

  165. Free updates are normally available due to the keyfile concept.
